Joostenberg is a 5th generation family business situated in the Muldersvlei district of Stellenbosch, South Africa. The winery believes in producing and sourcing great quality, authentic products and supplying them directly to the public. They place special emphasis on individuality, natural winemaking and environmental accountability through organic farming – full organic status was achieved in 2012.

“Bakermat”, meaning “birth-place” or “cradle” in Dutch, pays homage to Joostenberg, home of the Myburgh family for 6 generations. This is the premium red wine from the estate and every effort has been taken to ensure that it is a genuire expression of the Joostenberg terroir.
